You can download any agreement file in the Terms of Use area. Note, you will need an Acrobat Reader to view the files.

I noticed an error on the plans. What should I do?
It is unusual but we are only human. Contact our support center before you start construction! Our goal is to provide clear and accurate plans.

Do you provide beam calculations?
All beam calculations are available for an additional fee. This fee is additional due to different gravity loads throughout the country. You may either have us do the beams to your local code or have an engineer in your area help you.

What materials are used on your plans?
All materials such as roofing, siding, etc. will be clearly identified on the plans. All plans carry different specifications depending on their size and location.

I would like to make changes to the plans. What do I do?
First of all, call our office to discuss the options that are available to you. Once the specifics have been decided upon and discussed with our staff, a change fee proposal will be sent to you via fax or email. Upon receipt we can move forward on your changes. Please don't wait until the last minute. Give us as much time as possible to complete your request.

What information do I need to get changes made to the plans?
Please have any information relating to the site such as code, architectural review and pictures (if possible) etc. In some instances not all the above information is available. We understand. Try to get what you think will help us to complete your request.

When is it necessary to consider a custom design?
If you are having trouble finding a suitable plan and are interested in doing a custom home, before the process begins please have the following information: Target footage, rooms identified, garage type, style, pictures, lot size, topography, etc. Then call our office so we can schedule a meeting for you, via internet or telephone.

Can I change the foundation?
If what you are looking for is not listed, please contact us to verify the options that are available for each plan. For an additional fee we can have the plan redrawn with the foundation that matches your specifications.

Can I modify the exterior walls from 2x4 to 2x6 or vice versa?
This is a simple change that, in most cases, can be done by your builder during construction. If you require the actual blueprints changed, please contact us and we can provide that service.

How many sets should I order?
We recommend a minimum purchase of five sets. Extra sets are offered to ensure that you have enough copies for your local municipality, builder and the various sub-trades.

Are the plans copyrighted?
All illustrations and plans contained in this publication are the exclusive property of Builderplans and reproduction in whole or in part is strictly prohibited by law. Plans may not be resold or copied. We strive for accurate representation of renderings and plans and will not be responsible for errors or omissions in this publication. Strict penalties will be enforced for violators of copyright laws.

How long does it take to get my plans?
It all depends on when the order is placed. In most cases we can ship out the plans within 24 hours. If you require any modifications to the plan, or a reversal, the time varies depending on the complexity. Please call with the plan number and we can let you know when to expect your plans!
